We had to do a little research on this one as it is not every day we get to build something like this.

We managed to source a 3d scan of a sculpture of a lion that stands in the town of Lyon in France. We used this as the basis of our production drawings.

Using 3D CNCing technology we built the lion in layers using high density foam and a substructure of plywood for strength

Building and gluing the many layers together we used formed a skin over the foam which was sanded smooth for our marble finish to be hand painted on top.

The lion was then mounted onto a mirror base before being delivered to London.
